It is important to note that suicide is not a normal response to stress. Suicidal thoughts or actions are a sign of extreme distress and should not be ignored. If these warning signs apply to you or someone you know, get help as soon as possible, particularly if the behavior is new or has increased recently.

$150,000

Beacon of Light Mental Health Ministry is entering an important stage of growth. After several years of developing our Christ-centered, clinically informed approach to mental health ministry, we are expanding our reach and bringing more churches into the program.

The foundation is in place. Church partnerships are growing. Our pilot is expanding to include churches of various denominations, sizes and locations, with opportunities to extend our reach beyond the Dallas area.

This North Texas Giving Day, your support can help us keep that momentum moving forward.

Why churches?

When someone is struggling, they often turn to someone they trust. Sometimes that's a pastor, ministry leader, small group leader or another person within their church.

But even the most caring church leaders may not feel prepared to recognize a mental health concern, know what to say, or understand when and how to connect someone with professional help.

Beacon of Light helps close that gap.

We equip churches with Christ-centered, clinically grounded training, tools and resources to help them respond with greater knowledge, confidence and compassion.
